On 4th July 2008 the BioReGen Project mid-term dissemination event was held in conjunction with the NorthEast Contaminated Land Forum and Yorkshire Contaminated Land Forum. In the morning 120 delegates heard presentations from experts in this new and emerging field. Afterwards 21 delegates visited a BioReGen demonstration site on route to the Terramundo soil recycling facility.

BioReGen: /bio-re-gen/
BioReGen is short for "Biomass, Remediation reGeneration: Re-using brownfield sites for renewable energy crops". It is a 4-5 year project funded by the Life III Environment Programme to investigate whether brownfield sites can be used to grow plants for fuel (energy crops).
